On Saturday July 15th the principal flute of Ensemble East Claire Luck will be performing the Ibert flute concerto.
Claire started learning the flute when she was eight after being inspired by hearing James Galway play. She moved to Norfolk from London to study English and American Literature at UEA in 1993, and has been an active member of Norfolk’s music scene ever since. Claire currently plays with Ensemble East, the Norwich Philharmonic and the Mozart Orchestra.
Keen on personal development she continues her flute studies with Philippa Davies from the Nash Ensemble. Claire’s performances are characterized by a deep emotional connection to the music, as well as a technical brilliance that is both impressive and inspiring.
